Nothing could be more misdirected than a self-directed life…Christians are appointed to live every moment of their lives with the Holy Spirit of God. Life for them is a moment by moment vital union with One who is infinitely holy. Sin, therefore, in a Christian, is the very opposite of any true manifestation [demonstration] of the Spirit in the life.
